Are you the type of person who can't sit still? Is the idea of sitting behind a desk not appealing? Try being a Facility Assistant! FA's participate in facility setups, security,and general maintenance of the Commons. Working with other employees and Student Managers, FA's quickly gain experience in troubleshooting and team work.

Are you great with people? Love challenges? Interested in serving student, staff, faculty and visitors of VCU? Information Assistants with University Student Commons & Activities are the "face" of VCU. Engage customers and assist them via Live Chat, phone and in person. Must be curious, engaged and caring. IA's are also the primary information network for off campus students and their issues.
$7.25 per hour
Office Assistant positions work in the Administrative Office, the Student Organizations Services Center and the USC&A Student Programming Office. These positions are specialized according to office needs and students are often responsible for certain daily operations such as data entry, report processing and customer service.

The USC&A hosts many events requiring specialized lighting, sound, and other audio-visual support. "AV Techs" are responsible for the setup, maintenance, and operation of the Student Commons technical support systems. Experience with sound systems, mixers, microphones, lighting systems, computers, power point presentations, as well as other audio-visual equipment is preferred. The ability to work a changing flexible schedule is a must.
$7.25 per hour
The Break Point Games Room is a popular place with the VCU student community. Break Point Customer Service Assistants are responsible for customer relations, enforcing games room policies, cash register operations, and general maintenance of recreational equipment. As a CSA, you'll have the opportunity to assist with tournaments, publicity and special events in Break Point.
