Joining a fraternity or sorority at VCU can definitely enhance your college experience. From finding a social niche, helping you reach your academic goals, or helping our community, membership in a fraternity or sorority adds an element to the college experience for which there is no substitute.

At VCU, we offer a diverse mix of fraternities and sororities with the hopes that everyone who wants to join a group finds one that closely matches their values and personalities.

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Office provides guidance and support to 40 international fraternities and sororities at Virginia Commonwealth University.

The VCU fraternity and sorority community consists of four governing councils: the College Panhellenic Council, the Interfraternity Council, the Multicultural Greek Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. These four governing councils provide a governance structure for the 40 chapters, and the overall direction of the community is guided by the professional staff in the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life.
