Blood Drives
Organizations, classes, and departments are needed as blood drive sponsors. Sponsoring is easy, and the “squeamish” are welcome. Sign up to support one or more drives. There is one blood drive almost every month on both the Monroe Park Campus and on the MCV Campus. Sponsors promote the drives in advance in any way they can. On the day of the drive sponsors fill in during their shift at the snack table for donors, or they remind passers-by of the drive.
All blood benefits Virginia Blood Services, and all blood stays in central Virginia. If 1 unit of blood can save 3 lives, think how many lives you can save!
For more information, contact Beth Ward, bhward@vcu.edu, or call 828-3648.
Interested in donating blood? Walk-ins are welcome, or you may make an appointment and have most of your questions answered at www.vablood.org.
